Since Tuesday 27 October 2015 Nes Ammim has his own ‘Volunteers Fruit Garden’. This garden is developed by Ferry Hollinger and Youssef Moubarki. When Ferry faced some dead fruit-trees in  Nes Ammim, he decided to make a new plan for some new fruit trees. The irrigation to the former trees was destroyed by some working activities but now completely recovered by Ferry. Ferry’s concern is that when he leaves, nobody will take care of the new trees. That’s where Youssef comes in. Youssef is an old friend of Nes Ammim and is now one of Nes Ammim’s new inhabitants. Ferry found a good partner in Youssef who can take care of the trees on regularly basis. Together they realized this plan and the Volunteers Fruit Garden is now a fact. Since Ferry is not in Nes Ammim anymore, the opening of the fruit garden was led by Roelof Huisman. Roelof is a well-known friend by Ferry and Youssef. Together with the volunteers he opened the garden officially. We are all looking forward to a great harvest.
